Leveraging the Power of Learning English

Despite many students spending hours of a day to learn english, they are not able to effectively make progress towards the goals. People has long forgot the meaning of learning a new language, english for example. The reality is that many students often treat passing exams and obtaining certificates as the ultimate goal. They do not fully enjoy the pleasure brought out by opening a new window to the world. Nonetheless, I do not claim that those exams, such as College English Test , are trivial. Engish is now held in deep affection among the public due to the increasing connection between China and the rest of the World. The government is also dishing out millions of dollars annually in order to boost the foreign language education. As students admitted to the colleges, the demand for using english to communicate is on the rise. Additionally, graduate students in their career also need this scientific tool to get publications in renowned International conferences or journals. English was also said by many people that it was sort of difficult to swallow. Are there any effective ways to truly master the language and use it no matter in what circumstances? There are some rules to follow, basically. First, one has to step up his efforts to learn english in accordance with the guidelines. Do not engulf or overwhelm yourself with the abundant information. Try to utilize more, instead of downloading more. Absorting materials, as generally understood, entails the commitment of your heart and strength. It is tempting to grasp something that is shiny, but later kept in garage without touching it. Second, try to create an enviroment where you can practice english, such as speaking, writing and listening, to name a few. To sharpen your language, we have to exercise in a more frequent way. Do not be shy to embrace yourself with the critics. Finally, do not forget that the success is wth 99% percent effort and 1% luck. This article is meant to help understand why we need to learn english and where should we get started. I would welcome other participations and your ideas on how to improve english learning.
