[交流] Materials express什么时候创刊的？（主编已回复）已有4人参与

什么时候才有影响因子？貌似11年才有文章，10年没有，是不是13年才能有影响因子？必须要有性质和应用吗？纯合成不行吗？

昨晚咨询了主编，他给了个答复，看来应该确实应该在13年才有if
Dear Dr. XXX,

Impact factor  of any year is calculated by total number of papers cited in that year divided by total number of papers published during the last two years.

That is, Impact factor for the year 2011 will be

(total papers cited in 2011)/(total papers published in 2009+2010).

So you can understand that the first impact factor of any journal comes at least after 3 years. Materials Express has completed only one year (2011). But by virtue of its high-quality publications and free access, MEX papers are getting cited rapidly.
