The HSBNR process, which contained attached and suspended cells, could treat a high-strength ammonium wastewater and stably achieved long-term SBNR (over 1.5 years in HSBNR II). The lack of NO3 in the HSBNR reactors was achieved by maintaining a moderately high FA concentra-tion (20 < FA < 25 mg/L) and a low DO (<1 mg/L), which worked together to eliminate nitrate accumulation. The overall DCOD/DNOx-N ratio was 2.5–3.2, a value clearly dominated by shortcut denitrification in the anoxic tank, where 66–76% of the COD removal occurred. The biofilm carriers in the aerobic tank selectively enriched for ammonium oxidizers in the aerobic tank selecting against nitrite oxidizers. In particular, the selective accumulation of ammonium oxidizers in the porous biofilm carrier increased their SRT by over 50% from the total-biomass SRT. In addition, the low DO in the aerobic tank enhanced direct denitrification of NO2, which selected against nitrite oxidizers and enhanced shortcut denitrification.

包含生物膜和悬浮污泥的HSBNR 工艺可处理高浓度氨废水,并可以实现长期的短程脱氮除磷(在HSBNR II中超过1.5年)。适当高浓度的游离氨(20 – 25 mg/L)和低浓度溶解氧(<1 mg/L)可以联合作用以减少硝酸盐的积累,令HSBNR反应池中的NO3处于缺乏状态。DCOD与DNOx-N 总体比率为2.5–3.2。这个结果明显是由厌氧池中的短程反硝化作用造成的。该过程可去除66–76%的COD。好氧池中的生物膜选择性地富集氨氧化细菌,而无氧池中的生物膜择性地抑制亚硝酸盐氧化细菌。特别地,氨氧化细菌会选择性地积累在多孔的生物膜材料上,从而可使增加的污泥停留时间超过总污泥停留时间的50%。此外,无氧池中的低溶解氧可提高NO2直接反硝化的效果,从而选择性地抑制亚硝酸盐氧化细菌并提高短程反硝化效果。
