Here are some guidelines that authors find useful when preparing their image: The most effective images are very simple. Simple images can be more effective and striking than a picture involving chemical schemes etc. Try to select one or two eye-catching elements that would draw the readers¡¯ attention. Please have a look at previous Polymer Chemistry covers at http://www.rsc.org/Publishing/Journals/py/Gallery.asp.The covers are produced in landscape format with white bands above and below the image. The available space is 215 mm (width) x 176 mm (high) and the artwork should be of 300 dpi resolution; TIFF, PDF or EPS formats are preferred. Images should preferably be supplied in ¡°layered¡± format if they are composed of more than one part. Please also supply a caption to go alongside the cover credits in the contents pages; about 20 words. Normally you, or your employer, should be the copyright holder of the image. If this is not the case we are unlikely to be able to use the image on the journal cover.
