生物地球化学、环境科学、土壤化学、水文科学相关的都可以投。。。。。PhD Position The role of hydrological dynamics for iron mineral transformation The Department of Hydrology at the University of Bayreuth together with the Helmholtz Center Munich offers a PhD Position for three years within the framework of the Water Science Alliance ( http://www.watersciencealliance.ufz.de/index.php?en=19854). The dissertation project focuses on the reactivity of iron hydroxides in anoxic ground waters exposed to transient flow regimes. We expect a significant effect of flow rates on the turnover of iron minerals, their microbial availability and also the the pyrite formation rate. The work comprises experiments in the laboratory and in the field. Further information about the objectives of the dissertation project can be found at (http://www.hydro.uni-bayreuth.de ... ct_description.doc) We are seeking candidates with a background in environmental or geosciences with experience in the field of experimental aquatic geochemistry and mineralogy either in the laboratory or in the field. The candidate should have an interest in teamwork within an interdisciplinary group of researchers that focuses on the identification of biogeochemical processes in ground water. Experience in the use of spectroscopic or microscopic techniques or in the modelling of reactive transport is of advantage. Prerequisite for the position is an excellent master/diploma degree. The intended start of the position is spring or summer 2012. Review of applications will begin immediately but the position remains open until filled. Applications should include a CV, transcripts/certificates, names of referees and a statement of the candidate′s motivation for the application.
