| Well, propose that your visit is intending to establish some kind of connection between the two universities (or departments), or to be more specific, setting up some exchange programs of either staffs or students. Chinese seems to be a popular language now and many Americans as well as many other people in the world like to learn it and the Chinese culture. I believe all Chinese universities like to expand their connections to foreign counterparts, so talk to the leaders of your department, college or the international exchange division of your university about your proposal if possible before you get back to the American professor. I think your chance of success will increase if you can propose something solid. Hope this can be of any help to you. |
