£¨1£©PHD PROJECT: Growth and optical characterization of highly ordered  
molecular thin films for photodetection applications.  
£¨2£©PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project pursues the ambitious idea of developing organic thin films with precise control of the structure and thus of the optical  properties. Research will be carried out in three stages involving film growth  
and structural characterization, optical characterization and device fabrication  
and characterization.
£¨3£©TOOLS AND EUIPMENTS TO BE LEARNED AND USED: IMDEA¾ß±¸·Ç³£Æë±¸ÓëÏȽøµÄ±íÃæ¿ÆÑ§¡¢ÄÉÃ׿ÆÑ§ÓëÓлúµç×Óѧ·½ÃæµÄÉ豸ºÍÒÇÆ÷ÒÔ¼°Î¢Äɼӹ¤ÖÐÐÄÓë¸ß·Ö±æµç¾µÖÐÐÄ¡£
The student will employ and master at the end of the PhD state-of-the-art tools  
for film growth and characterization such as Organic Molecular Beam Epitaxy,  
XPS-UPS, LEED and Scanning Tunnelling Microscopy as well as advanced optical  
characterization techniques such as cutting edge femtosecond pump-probe  
spectroscopy.

Chair Professor Dr. Rodolfo Miranda¡£IMDEAËùËù³¤£¬ÃÀ¹úÎïÀíЭ»áFellow,the Chair  
Professor of UAM. Prof. Rodolfo Miranda, is Fellow of the American Physical  Society (2008) and other honours include Membership of the Surface Science  Division Committee IUVSTA (October 1989- October 1992), of the Advisory Board at  the Max Planck Institute f¨¹r Mikrostrur Physik, Halle (1993-2003), and the  Spanish representative in the Scientific Advisory Committee of the European  Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) at Grenoble (July 1988-January 1991). He  is also a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal Probe Microscopy. Prof.  Miranda has published more than 200 scientific articles, more than 4700 times  cited and his h-index is 41. He has been director of 40 doctoral thesis and 14  postdoctoral research works.
