According the reviewers’ comments, we have increased the inputs of each sample in the experiment. The theoretical value of Ni/Ti atomic ratio is 1:25, and no element of the samples in the experiment was lost. The XPS technique is certainly not suitable for measuring the content of each element; but rather, it is only a superficial qualitative tool which causes big errors in quantitative determination. Just as the reviewer pointed out, the ICP is a more appropriated tool. We chose the XPS technique with a view to testing whether the nickel precursor nickel nitrate is completely decomposed into nickel oxide under the temperature of 400 degrees Celsius, rather than to giving a quantitative analysis of its crystal form. The XPS structure showed that nickel nitrate is completely decomposed into nickel oxide under the temperature of 400 degrees Celsius with Ni/Ti atomic ratio being 1:25, and there were certainly some errors. |
