It is interesting to note that your first part-synthesis is worse than the second one. Why not try to combine these two into one article, just try to establish a full research paper? By the way, at least under my impression, there are little journals named with the topic that related with polymer subject, what are these journals?
If I were you, I will attempt to submit them at high IF journal. After all, everything is possible. Wish you good luck!

This strongly depends upon the quility of your results.
Many journals are so open-minded that you can even submit two articles at the same time.
Another thing I have to say is that maybe your supervisors are more experienced with the submiting articles, and he/she can suggest you a choice.
If your article is of high quaility,Macromolecules, Soft Mat and polymer is preferred.
At lower level, EPJ can also be considered.
At the lowest level, I suggest JAPS, according to the reviewing time and IF.

如果是同一聚合物,希望还是放在一起,除非你的聚合很有特点,不然很难发高IF文章的

That is the difficulty. I want to find a journal can hold these two.
Do you have further suggesitons?
