3 Full PhD scholarships are available now
|
The scholarship covers both tuition fee and living expense (3000RMB/month), and the PhD candidate will be offered a PhD degree from University of Nottingham in the UK after successfully completing a thesis and passing the viva. In general, a phD study is 3 years project and 1 year writing up. The student is expected to work at the centre for sustainable manufacturing, carrying out a project in area of sustainable manufacturing covering light weight design of moulds and dies; residual life evaluation of repaired end- of- life products; roll forming process for auto part manufacturing. The student is expected to write reports and publish papers in international high quality journals and conferences in English. The scholarship could be 3+0( 3 years in Ningbo with Possibility of some period in the UK ) and 2+1 (2 years in Ningbo and 1 year in the UK). The center for sustainable manufacturing led by Prof. Nabil Gindy, the vice provost for research, is the biggest research center at the UNNC, recently the center was awarded the international collaboration center by Minister of Science and Technology (MOST), China and key lab and innovation team by Ningbo Science and Technology bureau. The requirements for the scholarship is 1) minimal IELTS 6 or equivalent TOEFL score, 2) holds a 1st class BEng degree from recognised university in China, or MSc or MPhil degree; Contacts: Mr. Changrong CHEN 0574-88189391; zx08425@nottingham.edu.cn |
