火龙果花期集中在每年5-11月份,开花可达15次之多,花的产量大。在温度适宜的条件下,火龙果植株自茎节处长出花苞,40-50天后夜间开放。火龙果花呈管状,长约20厘米,花瓣宽阔,显白色,也有少数为红色[8]。火龙果花热量低,含有维生素C,蛋白质、粗纤维、粗脂肪等营养成分以及丰富的矿质元素,用作茶饮清凉解毒、滋阴润肺[9-10]。此外,火龙果花还具有明目、降火的功效和预防高血压的作用,可用于治疗咳嗽、气喘,此外火龙果花对肺结核、支气管炎、颈部淋巴结核的治疗有一定的辅助作用[11-13]。
目前,对火龙果花的关注多集中在火龙果花保健饮料研制、干制工艺及营养成分分析,而尚无对其抗氧化活性的进行研究[14]。抗氧化物质的抗氧化能力,与其所具有的还原过氧化物的还原能力,使自由基不活性化及捕捉金属离子等能力密切相关。利用自由基使显色剂发生颜色变化,根据吸光度的变化值而间接测得自由基的含量是分光光度法的基本原理,本文通过测定火龙果花不同溶剂提取物对DPPH自由基、羟基自由基(•OH)、超氧阴离子自由基(•O2-)的清除作用及其还原能力,研究火龙果花提取物的抗氧化活性,同时与人工合成抗氧化剂BHT的抗氧化活性进行了对比。以期为火龙果花的综合开发和合理利用提供理论依据。

Flowering of Pitaya is concentrated in 5-11 months per year, which is up to 15 times with large output. The director of the dragon fruit plant buds emerges after 40 - 50 days in the night under suitable temperature conditions. Pitaya flowers are of tubular and about 20 cm wide with mainly white and a few red petals [8]. Pitaya flowers are low in calories and contain vitamin C, protein, crude fiber, crude fat and other nutrients as well as a wealth of mineral elements. They can be used as detoxification tea that is good for Yin and lungs [9-10]. In addition, the dragon fruit flower is also good for eyesight, and it could reduce pathogenic fire and prevention of hypertension. Besides, it can be used to treat cough, asthma, and the dragon fruit flower role could be in support of curing tuberculosis, bronchitis, the treatment of cervical lymph nodes [11-13].
At present, more attention has been paid to the development of dragon fruit juice for health, dried process and nutritional analysis. However, seldom research has been carried out yet on its antioxidant activity [14]. The antioxidant capacity and ability to restore the reduction of peroxide are closely related with inactive free radicals and the ability to capture metal ions. Free radical reagent can make the color change. The content of free radicals could be measured indirectly according to the changes in absorbance values which is the basic principle of spectrophotometry. By measuring the scavenging and reducing power and antioxidant activity different extracts from dragon fruit flowers on DPPH radical, hydroxyl free base (.OH), superoxide anion radical (.O2-), the activity of such extracts was investigated and a comparison has been made with the synthetic antioxidant BHT antioxidant. This will provide some theoretical basis for the comprehensive development and rational utilization of dragon fruit flowers.
