cooking for dinner with snails

This is a continuation of a passage appearing in lesson 23 of the New Concept English 3. When Robert and I went into the kitchen, finding that the snails had taken complete possession of the room, my stomach turned for a while. Still, we had to collect the snails brought by myself beacuse of acting on a sudden impulse after a shower. But the number of snails were so large that we cannot completely take them into the paper bag back.  I cought a snail strolling on the wall, however, there was another one appearing on the floor. Rober and I spared no effert to search for my little gift anywhere and we never noticed that the whole night had been nearly gone past. The kitchen eventually had been restored after couples of hours' "hardworking" which made both of us exhausted.  Consequently, as a present, I was unluckily rewarded to have a great delicacy associated with snails, which I had never been able to look at since then.  [ 来自科研家族 哲学人生 ] |

Actually, snails are really nutritional and a great number of available health-improving substances can be intaken from snails. However, the French people enjoy the dish made of snails and red wine badly worldwidely famous for the stickiness and crispiness which will enhance the mouth property, while we Chinese do not take it for undisgusting to imagine the snials crawling along. |
