Variational Methods and Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations

Introduction The International Conference on “Variational Methods and Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations” will be held at the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, from 16 to 19 April, 2012. The aim of this conference is to disseminate recent research developments in the area of variational methods and nonlinear partial differential equations, and to promote collaborations among the participants. It will focus on elliptic and parabolic equations and their various applications, as well as on abstract tools based on variational methods applicable to these equations. Its website is (http://www.bcia.com.cn/). It is well served by a full range of public transportation. For international travelers with luggage, taxi is a reasonably priced option . The Institute of Maths of the Chinese Academy of Science (http://www.math.ac.cn/) is located at the northwest corner of the fourth ring road. In good driving condition, a taxi ride between the Capital airport and the institute is about 40 minutes, and costs less than RMB120. If you are missing , you can take a taxi, you can give the driver a small piece of paper printed “请把我送到中关村东路55号数学与系统科学研究院思源楼”. In airport, to get to the SiYuan building, you can also take the airport bus line to Zhongguancun (the forth bridge-which is the final stop of this bus line，see the map below).
