how many words can u spell like this?

pat--tap like the pair above, change the sequence of letter, and it is still a word well, this is what i asked in an exam, in which people should write at least 10 pairs of that kind of words. unfortunately, i just write 5 pairs to answer the question. how many words can u spell in the way like that? please write the answer without refer to baidu or dictionary. just think as in an exam for u, but without time limit [ Last edited by wine0431 on 2011-12-23 at 09:24 ] |

Let me try. A 3 or 4 digits composed word usually can be a good candidate to solve this question. PS: if the reversed word is not necessay to be another word, then it becomes easier. dim-mid pop-pop bob-bob peep-peep poop-poop no-on eye-eye knit-tink dam-mad rat-tar dad-dad mom-mom eve-eve but-tub bat-tab bud-dub bad-dab dew-wed pal-lap bus-sub are-era laid-dial drib-bird dib-bid deed-deed doom-mood gum-mug level-level lag-gal nap-pan raw-war Roughly after first 15 random trials, I started to do it alphabetically and found words began with "b" and "d" were easier to deal with. I suppose that using "b" and "d" leaded words could help to locate 10 matches in a shortest time. |
