This allowed us to map hundreds of Pt¨CCo nanoparticles to show atomic-scale elemental distributions across different stages of the catalyst aging in a proton-exchange-membrane fuel cell, and relate Pt¨Cshell thickness to treatment, particle size, surface orientation, and ordering.
