[求助] 教授让写研究计划，完全没思路啊

正在申请研究生，教授让写研究计划，但是我看了两天论文一点思路都没有啊，求大侠帮帮忙，指导一下。下面是教授给我写的method，让我补充~
a. Phenotyping.
Field trial evaluations of yield, flowering time and winter hardiness. Data will be collected primarily in the second and third years (first year is establishment) for biomass yield, yield components (height, # of tillers/area, tiller diameter, tiller density (mass/volume)), heading date, # nodes/tiller, overwintering ability, autumn dormancy date, and spring regrowth date.
c. Association analysis.
Association analyses for biomass and adaptation traits will be conducted, providing the first survey of Msi allelic diversity for agriculturally relevant genes, and giving Miscanthus breeders new tools for marker-assisted-selection. The project will establish to use functional candidate genes which control flowering time, cold tolerance, and relating genes for biomass production as well as metabolic genes of lignin biosynthesis  which will be useful for breeding programs on an efficient saccharification process for conversion of ethanol. Development of single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers in Miscanthus contributes in understanding of genetic structure of Miscanthus germplasm and breeding program.

因为关系到申请截止时间，还有我要准备考托福，所以越来越焦急，不得已来求助。
我现在大四，之前做的实验都是和微生物分类有关，这方面没接触过，所以很多东西不懂，愁啊。
教授在课题目的里有写Identification of genes governing key traits, through the testing of candidate genes from other grasses, and genome-wide association mapping.
能不能找到其他grass里的相关基因的序列，然后在Msi里找同源基因或者设计引物扩增Msi里的同源基因，然后再分析SNP？
