The present report describes an experimental procedure to determine resveratrol in grape skin by extraction of the dried sample with supercritical CO2 followed by HPLC determination with UV detection.
The aim of this study is to develop a suitable methodology for: (a) determining reeveratrol in grape skin; (b) quality control of a possible industrial process for obtaining resveratrol by supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) from grape skin; (c) to determine the amount of resveratrol present in different kinds of grapes in order to establish a possible correlation between the kind of grape and its resveratrol content.
