Cancer biology PhD studenship

CSC-sponsored Ph.D. studentship Several Ph.D. studentship positions are open in the Department of Biochemistry, Purdue University, USA. Research area is cancer biology, specifically signal transduction mechanism in mitosis using biochemical, cell biology and mouse genetics approaches. BS in biology or chemistry is needed. For more information about the lab, please visit http://www.biochem.purdue.edu/faculty/liu/index.html. We have three possible ways to accept you into our program. No 1, you can directly apply our graduate program, we will provide standard fellowship, including both salary and tuition, upon evaluation of your credentials. No 2, you can apply for partial salary support from China Scholarship Council (CSC) for 4-5 years, we will hire you as a 25% Research assistant so you are eligible for in-state tuition, which will be paid by PI’s grants. In this way, your actual salary (about $27,000 per year) will be significantly higher than the standard stipend of other graduate students as you will be paid by both CSC and PI’s grants. No 3. If you are already in a graduate program of Chinese universities, you can apply for salary support from CSC up to 2 years, PI will provide health insurance for you.
