Calculate activity coefficient and excess volume of mixing at 25 oC using NRTL model in ASPEN Plus
Do they agree with experimental data (Find experimental data in the literature)?
In physical chemistry textbooks, it was commonly stated that when a binary system exhibit positive deviation from Raoult’s law, the unlike molecules repel each other. Hence the volume of mixing is also positive.
Is this statement consistent with data of ethanol water ?
