title：A Coxian-Fitting Method on Heavy-Tailed Data Zhao Guo-xi Department of Mathematics Xinxiang University Xinxiang，China 5916021@sina.com Wang Shou-yin Department of Mathematics Xinxiang University Xinxiang， China wangshy06@sina.com Chen Pei-shu Department of Mathematics ChaoHu University ChaoHu， China cps8@sina.comAbstract—The paper presents a Coxian Fitting problem on Heavy-tailed data and establishes the nonlinear programming model to analyze the related parameter of the Coxian probability distribution. Using genetic algorithm and corresponding iterative steps, we can solve the model. Especially, a distance measure formula is proposed to analyze error resulting from different order and the Coxian distribution with optimal order is found. Simulation with Matlab software indicates that the outcome is good. Keywords: Phase representation; Coxian fitting; genetic algorithm; distance measure |
