先从英文的字面上看问题何在：
we infer我们推测/引申---可以改为更专业的说法：We conclude我们得出（结论）
the function of  ethanediamine ---- ethanediamine的作用，“作用”不能“影响”， ethanediamine才能“影响”，所以要么说 ethanediamine影响了pH值，并能够如何如何，要么说 ethanediamine的作用是什么
may be not only influence中 be 和 influence都是动词，不可连用
后面的deproton是名词，导致be capable of +名词  语意不清

我的建议
We conclude that ethanediamine used influences the value of the pH and also functions as a deprotonation reagent in the crystallization process.
直接回译的意思：我们得出结论，所用的ethanediamine影响了pH值，并在结晶过程中起到了去质子剂的作用。
