The tools described in this section are used in several categories of troubleshooting. First there are tools designed into the operator interface which will indicated fault conditions in the customers product or process, or with the communication links to the equipment. Secondly there are tools designed into the Windows operating system that allow us to determine proper functionality of the software which forms the HMI and its interface. Finally a series of hardware troubleshooting procedures is required to find electrical, electronic, and mechanical errors in the equipment. Editions or revisions to this document may be required as we port 21 Plus! HMI from one workstation platform to another. This edition will cover Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 operating system tools. |
