that incorporate molecules based on both unique scaffolds and known scaffolds of proven biological relevance represent a prudent method of increasing “hit” frequency (by targeting areas of chemical space “close” to known bioactive molecules) without compromising too much on the exploration of uncharted regions of chemical space.

有些专业术语不知道翻译的对不对。
