If you do not want to get phD,I think, now you should seriously finish your experiment ,and then you can find a job suiting you. after all. your life and future should be controled by you.

I am a Master student right now. My experiments are not going so well either. During my study I found out that if you want to be a scientist or researcher, a special way of thought, creative mind and  willingness to success might be needed.
So the choice would depend on your own conditions. If you need Ph.D for a good job, go for it ,though you don't like it, it might be worth to spend 3 years for it; if you like further study, go for it, though it will take another 3 years, it is a good chance to make your dream come true.
