From Conception to Realization: An Historial Account of Graphene and Some Perspectives for Its Future £¨Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2010, 49, 9336 ¨C 9344£© There has been an intense surge in interest in graphene during recent years. However, graphene-like materials derived from graphite oxide were reported in 1962, and related chemical modifications of graphite were described as early as 1840. In this detailed account of the fascinating development of the synthesis and characterization of graphene, we hope to demonstrate that the rich history of graphene chemistry laid the foundation for the exciting research that continues to this day. Important challenges remain, however; many with great technological relevance. ÉÏ´«2ƪʯīϩ´«¸ÐÆ÷µÄ×ÛÊöÎÄÏ×£¬¶Ô´ÓÊ´«¸ÐÆ÷Ñо¿ÕßÓÐÒ»¶¨²Î¿¼¼ÛÖµµÄ£¡£¡£¡£¡£¡£¡ ²»Ò»¶¨ÒªºÜÖªÃûµÄ£¬µ«×îÖØÒªÊÇÓÐÓõģ¡ ´ó¼Ò¾ÙµÃ¿ÉÒÔ£¬Çë¸øÓè¹ÄÀøÖ§³Ö¹þ£¬±ðÍüÁËŶ£¡ Recent advances in graphene-based biosensors a b s t r a c t A detailed overview towards the advancement of graphene based biosensors has been reviewed. The large surface area and excellent electrical conductivity of graphene allow it to act as an ¡°electron wire¡± between the redox centers of an enzyme or protein and an electrode¡¯s surface. Rapid electron transfer facilitates accurate and selective detection of biomolecules. This review discusses the application of graphene for the detection of glucose, Cyt-c, NADH, Hb, cholesterol, AA, UA, DA, and H2O2. GO and RGO have been used for the fabrication of heavy metal ion sensors, gas sensors, and DNA sensors. Graphene based FETs have also been discussed in details. In all these cases, the biosensors performed well with low working potentials, high sensitivities, low detection limits, and long-term stabilities.
