A post-doctoral position is available in the Institute for Interfacial Catalysis at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) to conduct fundamental studies of the surface chemical and photochemical reactions on thin film and single crystal titanium dioxide surfaces. These investigations will utilize a variety of surface science techniques, but primarily temperature programmed desorption and electron energy loss spectroscopies. Good oral and written communication skills are mandatory. Other duties will include publication of results in peer-reviewed journals, presentation of results at scientific meetings, and routine maintenance of ultrahigh vacuum equipment. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Candidates must have received a PhD within the past five years from an accredited college or university. Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry (or similar field), experience with state-of-the-art ultra-high vacuum equipment and a track record of publication. Familiarity with surface studies on single crystals is highly desirable. **Must meet minimum requirements to receive further consideration .
