Duties: The appointee will assist Dr. Yuen Hong Tsang in various research projects, including building an ultrafast ps / fs graphene based fiber laser system and characterization, engaged in developing graphene photonics research, e.g. optical limiter, study of the non-linear optical properties of graphene based materials. Qualifications: Applicants for the research associate position should hold a PhD degree or a good Master’s degree with a few years of experience doing research in a relevant field with good publication track records. Applicants for the research assistant position must hold at least a Master’s degree or obtain an equivalent qualification. The applicant will also have an opportunity to transfer to Phd study within the group provided that required performance has been achieved. We are looking for well-qualified hard-working candidates with practical research experience as well as theoretical background in the field of laser photonics, preferably being experienced in ultrafast laser, non-linear optics, graphene photonics, fiber laser, and amplifiers. Remuneration: Salary offered will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary range for research assistant: 9000 – 11000 HKD per month, research associate: 12000 – 16000 HKD per month. Further appointment depends on the achievements of the previous year and financial availability. |
