Based on the analytical frame of Feder-Model, this paper constructed a new model to measure the influence of Modern Service Industry on economic development. By using regression analysis, we analyzed the data of the Statistics Yearbook 2009 to estimate the direct and indirect contributions of modern service industry to the national economy, from which we noticed that its direct contributions are less than indirect ones and the marginal productivity of modern service industry is lower than that of other sectors.
