[求助] 稿件格式要求：Figures should be uploaded as separate figure files是什么意思？

International Journal of Communication Systems中要求
Tables must be on separate pages after the reference list, and not be incorporated into the main text. Figures should be uploaded as separate figure files.
这里的Tables我知道是什么意思，但是figures指的是哪一类的图片？Matlab仿真图可不可以放在正文，还是也要分开放入另一个文档？
