Dear Sir, Greetings from Cranfield Health. I hope you are well.In order to move the collaboration forward, could you please consider the following specific topic as a potential start to our collaboration for mutual benefit?Cranfield Biotechnology Centre has approved a program for students who wish to come to the UK for research on projects that are of scientific interest to both organisations (e.g. biosensors, nanotechnology, polymer chemistry). If students would like to undertake a PhD at your university on an agreed research project, he/she can come to Cranfield for one year full time (say second year, register for an Masters of Science (by Research), fees at £16k) then return to China to continue the research and complete their PhD. At the end of the program the student will have a PhD from your University and MSc from Cranfield. This project will undoubtedly lead to research that can be published in high ranking journals and give the student a UK life experience, expose them to scientific working practices, and make them high employable in the future. The combination of our Masters and a PhD from both Universities will be internationally recognized by academia, industry and funders.The benefit to both organisations will be the beginning of an international collaboration that can attract the best students to your University offering a “premier program” that some other Universities are not offering and allow your students and academics greater international exposure.I hope this email is useful and I would welcome your thoughts on determining how to move forward on this specific topic if you are interested.
