¶÷£¬ÕâÊÇÍøÒ³ÄÚÈÝ£¬ÄãºË¶Ôһϡ£ Type IV secretion systems (T4SS) are versatile secretion systems that are found in pathogen bacteria to inject effectors into host cells or to spread plasmids harboring antibiotic resistance genes. They usually consist of 12 components (VirB1-VirB11, VirD4) in Gram negative bacteria that are organized into ATP-powered, double-membrane-spanning complexes. Figure 2 and Figure 3 respectively display T4SS structure in Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. TFSP: a database for Type IV secretion system. A total of 18,005 VirB/D genes (T4SS genes) were identified in 1,171 Bacterial Genomes. The distribution of VirB/D genes and other pertinent information (e.g., gene Number, gene Name, gene Type, position, sequence, and so on) in each genome were incorporated into the TFSP database. The database also contained information regarding 313 identified GIs with clustered VirB/D genes. |
