![]() The predictions of temperature distribution of conventional heating which output power is 10 kW are shown in Fig•1. The predictions of temperature distribution for microwave heating coal-containing chromite fines are shown in Fig•2, which corresponds to the initial temperature of 20¡æ and microwave power level of 10 kW. Here, microwaves are transmitted along almost all direction towards the crucible which is used to put in sample. Most importantly, the effects of the way of heating on temperature distribution are discussed by considering the two heating ways: microwave heating and conventional heating at same conditions by simulation ( see Fig•1, Fig•2). In contrast to that case of microwave heating, which results in voluminal heating by microwave in spired by magnetron around. In Fig•3, the distribution of conventional heating that operates ata same power has more different than that of microwave heating. It is found that gradient of temperature is clear from the outer to inside part The highest temperature appear in the process of microwave heating. It is well validated the voluminal heating characteristic of microwave. |
