我文章用的compared with，但编辑改成了compared to 原文是：the A technique is more environmentally friendly in the roasting step compared with B。 我的意思表达是A技术和B技术比较起来，A更环保。compared to是比喻的意思啊，这个外国编辑是不是搞错了？ |

这是运用习惯的问题： 二者有时可以互换使用，如果强调共性，用compare to: “She compared his home-made wine to toxic waste.” 如果比较共性与差异，则可以使用compare with: “The teacher compared Steve’s exam with Robert’s to see whether they had cheated.” 因此： compare with与…比较，compare to比喻为 compare...with...把……和……比较(常表示同类相比，比较) compare...to...把……比作……(常表示异类相比，比喻) ①Let's compare this article with that one. 让我们把这篇文章和那篇文章作一下比较。 ②The heart is often compared to a pump. 心脏常被比作水泵。 另外，做比较状语时，即compare的过去分词短语形式用作状语时, 不管同类还是异类, compared with和compared to都可以用。 例： Compared with/to western countries, China uses materials very carefully. 和西方相比,中国使用物资很节省。 |
