绝大多数SCI没有.尤其是高水平的Journal.要Charge的我认为水平都不怎么样.

上个月在美国矿石、冶金、材料学会期刊Metallurgical and Materials Transactions B发了一篇论文，版面费是70美元1页，我的论文正式出版后是11页。我给主编发去Email，申明page charges对于我来说，显得太高了。 主编非常理解我，给我回复说： If it is impossible to obtain the funding for page charges, please just send a letter requesting a waiver and stating that you would have the burden of paying personally, and I am sure that you would be granted the waiver. 结果，我的page charges被免掉了。 |

Dear Prof. Fruehan: Thank you very much for your kind letter in August 19, 2006. We are happy to know that our manuscript (ref no.) is acceptable for publication in Metallurgical and Materials Transactions B. I have signed and completed the “Copyright Transfer Form”, “Author Information Form”, “Checklist”, and “Classification”, and have attached to this Email. Please download and save them. However, I am sorry to tell you that I can not convey the “Page Charge Form” to you with this Email. At present, it seems that I have to pay the charges personally; but I must admit that it is a heavy burden to me. I am now trying to contact the deans of our college to strive for the financial support from the institution. However, since we are in our summer vacations now, I have not yet heard form them concerning whether I can obtain their financial support. Anyway, I will contact you about the payment of the page charges as soon as possible. I do NOT wish to publish the art in color and agree to reproduction in the printed version in black and white. I have uploaded the final text and all figure files to your ftp site. All figures are prepared according to the “Images Submission Guidelines” of your journal.
