Dear XXX: I am happy to offer you a postdoctoral position in my laboratory. The position is for one year, renewable by mutual agreement, and the starting salary is $40,000 per year. The position also includes medical insurance benefits, and access to Columbia University housing. You can start as soon as you are able, considering the time to get a visa.
