The complexes have been synthesized as follows: {[Cd(a-ptt)2]•H2O}n (1), [Hg(a-ptt)2] (2), [PbCl(ptt)]n (3), {[Co(OH)2(Hptt)2]•DMF}n (4), {[Zn(OH)2(Hptt)2]•2DMF}n (5), [Cd(ptt)2(Hptt)2] (6), [Cd(a-Hmtt)2(SO4)H2O]•CH3OH (7), [Hg(a-mtt)2]•H2O (8). The complexes are determined by IR and elementary analysis, and crystal structures have been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Moreover, the UV spectral, luminescent, thermal properties, adsorption and catalytic activity have also been investigated of some complexes. Complex 1 possesses an infinite two-dimensional layered structure with the bidentate coordination mode of a-ptt. Complex 2 is a mononuclear structure and is extended to a three-dimensional structure with the help of weak interactions of Hg…N and S…N. Complex 3 exhibits a three-dimensional structure by ptt bridging two infinite two-dimensional layered. Complex 4 has similar structure with complex 5, and possess two-dimensional layered structures with parallelogram grid units connected by the ligands Hptt and metal centeres. While complex 6 is a mononuclear structure. The ligands a-Hmtt of complex 7 and 8 adopt chelation coordination modes, and complex 7 and 8 possess mononuclear structure. |
