kept standing的意思

|
看到文献上有一句kept standing, 这个是要搅拌还是不要搅拌? The reaction mixture was then kept standing at room temperature for 5h. |

原文如下 多谢大家 PMPSQ microspheres were prepared using two-step acid–base catalyzed sol–gel process in aqueous smedium. In a typical experiment, 10g of MPTMS and 100g of water were placed in a beaker stirred by a Teflon-coated magnetic stirrer at room temperature. The solution was acidified with 0.1mL of 1M HCl. The MPTMS was initially insoluble and formed an emulsion. Then, the MPTMS oil droplets gradually disappeared and a transparent solution was obtained as the MPTMS hydrolyzed to silanol which was more soluble in water. After 5h,1mLNH4OH (5%)solution was injected to the mixture to catalyze the condensation reactions of silanol. Immediately after the addition of NH4OH, particles were formed and the solution turned opaque. The reaction mixture was then kept standing at room temperature for 5h.The resulting precipitate was filtrated with Millipore filter membrane (0.22 mm) and rinsed thoroughly with distilled water and ethanol to remove the residual NH4OH as well as unreacted monomer oroligomers |
