各位虫友好，我有个文章投Hydrological Processes修了2次了，审稿人最后提了一个问题，是关于数据的有效数字的问题，不知道大家有没有碰上过，先发审稿意见。 Please use appropriate significant digits when reporting numbers. Many authors, including you, report discharge, concentrations, percentages (,e.g. line 242), r2 (e.g. lines 243 & 244), fluxes, rainfall, area, volumes, and etcetera to more digits than can be supported by the precision of the measured or modeled result. For most cases, numbers should be only reported to less than 2 significant digits, which would be associated with a precision of 1%. The evaluation of long-term method precision for analytical determinations of water samples indicates that the precision is typically less than 15% but generally no better than 5% for any analyte (1 or 2 significant digits) and likewise for discharge data (the best reported measurement precision for USGS discharge is 5%). Please correct these throughout the manuscript including Table II (e.g. EC with 5 sign. digits and several others to 3) – ask yourself if you can justify precision to the level that you report it. 比如他提到的EC，我的数值是76.90， 524.90， 247.46 其他的如总氮的数值是0.49，3.04，1.15 我的初衷是保留小数点后2位，如果按照他的意见最多2位有效数字，524.90岂不是要表示成5.4X102方，这表达是不是有点滑稽？ 有没有虫友碰到过这种情况，请指教 |

二楼的解释不妥当。 环境监测数据的有效位数应当遵循国家的规范，而不是作者想当然应该取多少位。 地表水和污水监测技术规范(HJ/T91-2002) http://www.sepa.gov.cn/image20010518/3589.pdf 比如电导率（EC），单位为us/cm，最多有效数字取3位，小数点后最多留一位，大数值采用科学计数法。 总氮：最多有效数字取3位，小数点后最多留2位。 中国的环境监测方法大多来自美国EPA标准，你可以找出相应的EPA方法中的有效数字规定，答复审稿人。 |
