Today’s ABRs air-conducted and toneburst result are consistent with a bilateral profound hearing loss. A suspected cochlear microphpnic found in both ears and therefore an auditory neuropathology in both ears are suspected. Hearing aid fitting is highly recommended and auditory rehabilitation as soon as possible. Close monitoring of hearing aid benefit is recommended. Review hearing at 9-10 months old is necessary. |
