Hicks et al demonstrated that the cyclic voltammetry and AC impedance spectroscopy can be used to determine the electron transfer rate of the modified electrode . In theory, the cyclic voltammograms, the changes of the different peak current in the electrode surface and  the distance of the peak potential are related to the electron transfer rate, that is to say , the electron transfer resistance related.
