The project involves the study of metal-molecule-metal junctions using first principles and classical molecular dynamics within the framework of a multiscale approach. A Masters degree or an equivalent qualification in Physics or a related subject is a prerequisite. The candidate is required to have experience is in the fields of electronic structure calculations and molecular dynamics as well as their application to molecular and/or solid state specific problems. Furthermore, computer programming skills are expected. The University of Muenster is an equal opportunities employer.
