Zecchina et al. studied a series of catalysts prepared
by impregnation of MCM-41 with an aqueous
solution of Cu(NO3)2 [178]. A thermal treatment at
600 ◦C in vacuum allowed to produce Cu2O/MCM-41
by self reduction of the CuO deposit formed by thermolysis
of the copper nitrate.
