【Original】My embarrassing experience

Nearly three years ago, I found a job in this city and began to live in a new environment. A few months later, I knew the roads and bus lines nearby, but I was still not familiar with the transport in other places. One day, on my way back home from the market with my roommate, a foreigner asked us: can you speak English? He was happy when I answered yes. He showed me a downloaded map and told me that he want to drive around the reservoir but he was lost. I was not familiar with the roads, too. At last, I pointed the way after discussed with my roommate. During our discussion , I saw his beautiful wife in the car. I felt sorry for my poor oral English, but he praised me. When they left, he thanked me a lot. One year later，I met my boyfriend. We went for a drive on a weekend afternoon. I was astonished when we drove a wrong line and went to the highway around the reservoir . Oh my! I pointed a totally opposite way to the foreigners. I felt so embarrassed and sorry for them. Now, when we passed by that way, my husband always made a joke about it. But I hope one day I could help other foreigners , because I am a good guide now. I felt it difficult to write this diary because I have not written in English for such a long time. I need more practice. It is very nice of qinghuahigh to point out my mistake.
