最近投了一篇文章到journal of catalysis，10天后收到副编的据信，原文如下。各位虫友建议下，我应该再投到哪个期刊去比较好呢？

  说实话，做催化两三年了，我都还不是很明白编辑所说的“catalysis journals”和“Applied Catalysis”的本质区别是什么。。。

  Dear Mr. XXXXX,

I have carefully read your manuscript. Let me first say that I find it an interesting paper and I am sure it deserves publication. However, I do not find it suitable for the Journal of Catalysis.

Your paper reports a worthwile development in a technical sense, and as such it fits well in a journal on the applications of photochemistry. The Journal of Catalysis deals with fundamental issues in catalysis, it focuses on understanding and insight of generic nature. To illustrate why your paper fits better elsewhere I note that only 8 out of 40 references are to catalysis journals, while the majority of these cite Applied Catalysis.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to consider your work, and I hope that you find a suitable outlet for your manuscript.
