Calcium hypochlorite oxidation can well remove the "simple" cyanide especially for the low concentration cyanogen-contained wastewater. The optimum process conditions will be:the adding quantity of calcium hypochlorite is 3.5 times than theoretical value,pH is 10,reaction time is 30min.The 8.15mg/L cyanogen-contained wastewater will be well treated under this condition,the total cyanogen-contained wastewater concentration is 0.38 mg/L and the removal rate will be 95.34% after treatment.
