[交流] 【Original】Song Meiling

I am reading a book about Song Meiling these days.
Since I havn’t got any detailed information on textbooks..I thought she palyed a ignored figure in chinese history. On the other hand, we know her name always associated with Jiang Jieshi who was considered to be a against public opinion person.
I knew little about her before reading this book.I had my own misconceptions about Song’s behavior. What a pity.
Song is a great and fascinating woman. Regardless of her beauty she had an intelligent mind and patriotic feeling.
Song had spend plenty of time on calling for international support during the war. Her speech to the US Congress in 1943 and its impact on Americans is vast. Including Franklin Roosevelt and senators,journalists with no expection were shocked by Song’s eloquence. Franklin praised her is an unique ambassador.
American magazine selected Song was as one of  the  Most Famous World Women and it lasted 10 years.
For all Song’s work, Chinese won the Sino-Japanese War at the end in virtue of international support.(of course the main reason is the spritial of strong and unyielding in Chinese people ).
Song was an outstanding woman who played a crucial role in Chinese history. As a female politician,she is second to none .

quite agree with you. the texbook often tells something in a one-side approach such as who is good and who is bad.

about history, i do not know much and after these years, i have forgotten much.but, in my mind, jiang is a great man.

I know she is good at English and is good at speaches and had lived for over 100 years and she liked hua zhuang.

I wonder why our textbooks do not fully evaluate a people. Only praise one who is good in our own thinking .We know every coin has two sides. A perfect person has its own shortcomings,while ........
I feel confused .
