Applications from postdoctoral researchers

Please submit your dissertation or the full manuscript of your dissertation, preferably on CD-ROM (in triplicate). If your dissertation was not written in English or German, please enclose a six to ten-page English or German summary (in triplicate).

Alternatively, you may also send us individual publications containing significant results from your dissertation.

我是2月份提交的资料，申请7月份的洪堡，当时提交了3份代表作，那时还没开始写毕业论文，也是一时疏忽大意没有提交论文的summary，请问有经验的洪堡前辈们，洪堡里面这句话Alternatively, you may also send us individual publications containing significant results from your dissertation.

具体怎么解释啊，是不是可以用博士论文里面已经发表的文章代替summary，我现在该怎么弥补这个失误呢
