【求助】没有英语成绩，申请公派的机会有多少

紧急求助：本人在职人员，临时决定申请公派博士后，暂无英语成绩，请教大家： 1、无英语成绩被CSC录取的几率有多大？有什么措施可以增加胜算呢？ 2、外方的邀请信中写的日期是2011年7月开始研究，我准备6月考PET-5，那即使考过了也过了7月了，时间安排上应该写几月比较保险，签证时候是不是不能过期啊？ 我把邀请信贴出来分享，谢谢大家了 Dear Dr. ***: Thank you for your interest in pursuing postdoctoral position in my lab. Your research background matches well with our current projects and your English skills satisfy the demand of the postdoctoral research in my group. If the China Scholarship Council will provide you financial support to cover your travel and living expenses, I would be more than happy to invite you to join my laboratory for a period of one year as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Microbiology & Molecular Genetic, Michigan State University. This position is available to you immediately upon your arrival. My lab is studying the mechanism of immunoglobulin class switch recombination (CSR). In particular, we study the mechanism by which DNA double strand breaks are generated and repaired at specific genomic loci during CSR. We have developed several unique tools including biochemical and cell line-based assays to address key questions in the field. You will have a great opportunity to explore novel mechanisms of DNA recombination, DNA repair and lymphomagenesis. These studies are important for our understandings of not only the biology of DNA recombination, but also the immune responses to clear pathogens and the development of cancer when this process goes awry. As detailed in the research proposal, you will be working on a yet undefined alternative end-joining (A-EJ) pathway that has been implicated in promoting oncogenic chromosomal translocations. You will employ a variety of genetic, molecular and biochemical approaches to get to the heart of the mechanisms by which this A-EJ pathway operates under physiological and pathological conditions. I understand that you plan to join my lab in July 2011. However, the exact starting date is quite flexible. Your research activities will be directly under my supervision. We will provide you all necessary laboratory facilities, equipments, and supplies to ensure a successful research. My lab is housed in the new Biomedical Physical Sciences Building (constructed in 2001). The BPS Building is the largest academic facility on campus and is linked by skyways and underground passages to the Chemistry and Biochemistry Buildings, and it is across the street from the Plant Biology and Crop and Soil Science Buildings. I have a 1200 sq ft. main lab in BPS 5140 and a 350 sq ft. tissue culture room in BPS 5137, along with other state-or-the-art facilities and equipment rooms accessible to you. You will have a full size bench in room 5140 and dedicated office space in room 5195. The life science library is located in the atrium of the BPS building. Michigan State University is a rich environment for research and development. You will have ample opportunities for collaboration thanks to size of the MSU research team and the variety of disciplines on campus. The department is one of the largest and oldest microbiology departments in the country. The department houses or is closely affiliated with a number of other units both on and off campus. These include the Center for Microbial Ecology, the Ribosomal Database Program, the center for Microbial Pathogenesis, the Kellogg Biological Station LTER, the Cell and Molecular Biology Program, the Genetics Program, and the Van Andel Research Institute in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
