GCN 2011 will be a venue for leading academic and industrial researchers to exchange their views, ideas and research results on innovative technologies and sustainable solutions leading to greener communications and networks. The conference will feature keynote speakers, a panel discussion and paper presentations. The objective of GCN 2011 is to facilitate an exchange of information on best practices for the latest research advances in the area of green communications and networks, which mainly includes the intelligent control, or efficient management, or optimal design of access network infrastructures, home networks, terminal equipment, and etc. GCN 2011 will provide a forum for engineers and scientists in academia, industry, and government to address the most innovative research and development including technical challenges, social and economic issues, and to present and discuss their ideas, results, work in progress and experience on all aspects of advanced green communications and networks engineering. The accepted papers will be published by Springer in Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering (EI index, ISSN: 1876-1100) series, which should be indexed by EI and ISTP according the previous LNEE proceedings index results. Selected papers (about 120) will be published by several special issues in well-known international journals (SCI, EI).
