【Pure water】China's display at Abu Dhabi Exhibition increases by 77%

The China National Pavilion is showing off China's latest weapons and technology at the tenth Abu Dhabi International Defense Exhibition. A remote-controlled weapons platform and the Fierce Dragon fighter jet are attracting much attention. The size of China's display at the exhibition has increased by 77 percent this year. Seventeen Chinese exhibitors are taking part. Nine from the country's military sector. Among those taking part are the China North Industries Corporation, China National Precision Machinery Import and Export Corporation, and China Shipbuilding Trading Corporation. Gao Yusheng, Chinese Ambassador to UAE, said, "It is the third time for China to participate in the exhibition, with a scale much larger than in the previous sessions. All the major military enterprises have participated in the current session. China's display area is much larger than in the previous sessions." China's remote-controlled weapons platform is a highlight at the exhibition. The light remote-controlled weapon platform can control weapons such as vehicle-borne machine guns, grenade launchers and vehicle-borne machine cannons. Zhang Wenxing, Senior Engineer of China North Industries Corporation, said, "In the past, people must touch the weapons to use them, which put people in much danger. Now the remote-controlled weapons platform has solved the problem. Watching the screen, we can control weapons at any place in the car. Just like we play games." Other products on show are a self-propelled gun system, explosive disposal robots, AC-311 helicopter and the Fierce Dragon fighter jet. The fighter jet is also receiving much attention. China and Pakistan cooperatively developed the light multi-functional fighter jet to meet the needs of military customers. Adopting advanced technologies, the third generation of fighter jet possesses comprehensive striking capabilities, including great interception and ground attack ability. |
